Its All in the Attitude: Expectations

Finding joy is a very confusing thing for some people.  It shouldn't be, but this confusion comes from the societal mentality that we have to earn our right to God. 

Here's the long and short of it: what are you expecting out of God? 

Psalms tells us very simply how we can have God's joy:

His joy is in those who reverence Him, those who expect Him to be loving and kind.  Psalm 147:11 (TLB)

Try changing your expectations of God for a while and see how your heart's joy-meter changes.  God is so big and great, but one thing He encompasses fully is the character of LOVE.  He is love. 

Expect great things from love.

Expect great things from God.
